Family Guy...It is what it is!

Family Guy first premiered in 1998 after creator Seth McFarland was given the green light. Since that pilot episode, Family Guy has been parodying pop culture in a very humorous way. Most criticize the show for its "adult content" without realizing just how spot on the show it. Every week, episodes touch on issues and current events in a different way. In a October 2009 episode, the show took a more serious turn as Lois visited the doctor after finding a lump on her breast. Also, an episode in season 8 featured Peter getting a prostate exam. Seth McFarland uses humor to bring these issues into light and make people aware of what is going on in the world around them.  So even though many people might not agree with Seth McFarland and his controversial approach to comedy, it does get the point across and it is what it is.
